keep under your watch
In his/her video, Dr. Tarun Anand said that it is a big responsibility to protect children from firecrackers on the day of Diwali. When children go to burst crackers, an elder member should stand with them. Give less smoke and less noisy crackers to the child. This includes Chakri and Fuljhadi. Do not give loud or dangerous firecrackers to children.
How to dress children?

While bursting crackers on Diwali, keep children wearing cotton clothes only. These are very safe and do not catch fire whereas synthetic clothes catch fire quickly. While bursting crackers on Diwali, children should wear loose clothes and do not give them any long chunni or scarf etc. There is a risk of fire due to this.
keep some distance

Ask children to stand some distance away from the firecrackers. You should always stay with them during this time and help them in burning crackers. Apart from this, firecrackers should always be burnt in open places only. This reduces the risk of any accident. You can go to the terrace or street and burn crackers with children.
keep water bucket

During the festival of Diwali, if not you then your neighbors will definitely burn firecrackers and during this time you will have to take safety measures. Keep a bucket of water or soil at the place where you are burning crackers. This will help in extinguishing fire in case of emergency.

ear protection

If children get startled by loud sounds or noises, then keep ear plugs in their ears on Diwali. Apart from this, you should bring eco-friendly and noise-free firecrackers to the children. These are safe for both children and animals. By keeping these small things in mind, you can keep your child and family safe on Diwali.
