In brain aneurysm, a balloon-like structure is formed on a blood vessel of the brain and it looks like a berry hanging on a tree. The swollen blood vessel may leak and even burst.

It is also called intracranial aneurysm or cerebral aneurysm. This is a type of stroke which can be fatal. In brain aneurysm, no specific symptoms are visible nor any physical condition is felt. It can be detected only through medical test.

Symptoms of brain aneurysm

The headache caused by brain aneurysm is not like a normal headache. Apart from this, some other problems can also occur like-

• sudden severe headache
• vomiting
• Nervousness
• stiff neck
• double or blurred vision
• being sensitive to light

Brain aneurysm mostly occurs in people above 40 years of age. This problem can also occur in children. However, the risk of brain aneurysm is higher in women than in men.

Symptoms of leaking aneurysm

• unconsciousness
