If anything happens to the farmers… farmers warn the central government regarding Dallewal’s health.

New Delhi: Farmers’ protest continues regarding 13 demands including MSP. Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal is on fast unto death for the last 26 days. The Supreme Court has sought a report from the Punjab government on his/her health. Meanwhile, farmers have warned the central government on Saturday. Farmers have said that if anything happens to any farmer, the government will be responsible for whatever happens after that.

‘The entire cabinet reached to meet the injured MP’

While holding a press conference at Khanauri border, farmer leader Abhimanyu Kohar targeted the central government for not even going to meet Jagjit Singh Dallewal. he/she said, ‘We saw what happened in Parliament… some MPs were injured and admitted to the hospital, then the entire cabinet went to meet them and here Dallewal is on hunger strike, no one is even coming to ask about his/her health… the entire country. he/she is watching.

‘If anything happens to the farmer, the government is responsible’

Kohar warned the government that if anything happened to the farmers, the government would be responsible. he/she said, ‘We have been saying from the first day, if anything happens to any farmer… then the government will be responsible for whatever happens after that.’

Farmers coming in large numbers from Haryana-Punjab

Kohar also told that a large number of farmers from Haryana and Punjab are coming to save Dallewal from the police. he/she told, ‘he/she (Dallewal) has sent a message that a large number of farmers from Haryana and Punjab are coming to save Dallewal from the police.’ The farmer leader accused the central government of ignoring the farmers. he/she said that the government is not paying attention to the demands of the farmers.

Next hearing will be held in Supreme Court on January 2

On Friday, the Supreme Court said that the health of Jagjit Singh Dallewal is the responsibility of the Punjab government. A bench of Justices Surya Kant and Ujjwal Bhuyan asked the Chief Secretary of Punjab and the Chairman of the Medical Board to file an affidavit on the health condition of Dallewal as well as the steps taken to ensure his/her recovery. The Supreme Court will now hear this case next on January 2, 2025.
