Traveling by train in India is quite comfortable, whereas if the journey is of long distance then a person travels comfortably lying down. Compensation in Railways will be given under Section 124 and 124A of the Liability Railway Act, 1989, in which if the fault lies with the Railway Department, then you will be given compensation.

  • If someone is seriously injured in a train accident, he/she is given Rs 2.5 lakh.
  • Rs 10 lakh in case of loss of body part or disability in train accident
  • If a person dies in a train accident, he/she will get Rs 10 lakh.
  • 50 thousand rupees for minor injured in train accident
  • Keep in mind that it takes time to receive railway compensation amount.
