According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, BCCI has issued a statement that they have security concerns. Which means that there is no possibility of him/her going to Pakistan. Champions Trophy is to be organized in Pakistan next year. No decision could be taken in the meeting today.

The Indian government has said that if Pakistan is not ready for the hybrid model, then India will take the responsibility of hosting it. Foreign players will not face any problem in coming to India. BCCI has put forward this matter in the meeting. There is now a lot of hope that the Indian team will go to Pakistan. The Indian government has clearly said that it will not send the team.

Pakistan may withdraw from the tournament

At the same time, PCB is not ready for hybrid model. A PCB source has said that if Pakistan loses the rights to host the Champions Trophy 2025, it will withdraw from the event. “In such a case, one of the options that the government is considering is to ask the PCB to ensure that Pakistan does not participate in the Champions Trophy,” a source said.

The last time India won the Champions Trophy was in 2013. At that time, the team led by MS Dhoni was successful in defeating England in the rain-affected ODI match. The 50 over match was reduced to 20 overs. Men in Blue defeated England by five runs in this match.
