New Delhi. Bollywood heartthrob and Mumbai City FC co-owner Ranbir Kapoor has described his/her wife and actress Alia Bhatt as competitive and said that he/she would avoid playing football with her.
During the Mumbai City FC jersey launch, Ranbir got candid with sports anchor Mayanti Langer and revealed that the one competitor he/she would never play against is none other than his/her wife Alia.
Asked which player he/she would never play with, he/she said, “She’s competitive and if I beat her, I know I’ll be hearing about it for a long time and she’ll be pissed off. So I think I’ll avoid playing her.”
Langer then suggested that if Aaliya wins, she would celebrate better than him/her. To which he/she replied, “Exactly. So, I’m bad either way.”
Talking about his/her love for football, Ranbir said, “It reminds me of school when I was in fourth or fifth grade. Whatever I did, in studies, in drama, I was way below average.”
“But when I joined the school soccer team, I think that’s where I found an identity, a personality for myself. I think sports really teach us a lot in life.”
“And I remember the first time my name came in the paper because I scored a goal for Bombay Scottish for an inter-school football championship,” the 40-year-old actor said.
