I don’t feel like coming to Delhi… Why did Nitin Gadkari say this?

New Delhi: Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, troubled by the increasing pollution in the capital Delhi, admitted on Tuesday that he/she does not feel like coming to the national capital because he/she often gets infected here. Addressing an event in Delhi, Nagpur MP Gadkari said that Delhi city is such that I do not like living here. Due to pollution here I get infection. he/she said, every time I come to Delhi, I feel whether I should go (Delhi) or not. Pollution is so severe. Gadkari suggested that the best way to reduce pollution is to reduce the consumption of petrol and diesel. Gadkari said that India imports fossil fuel worth Rs 22 lakh crore, which is challenging from the point of view of economy and environment. he/she said, we can reduce the import of fossil fuels by promoting alternative fuels.

Gadkari, known for his/her outspoken views, said that the biggest problem facing India is poverty, hunger and unemployment, hence the government will have to ensure that economic and social equality is achieved in the times to come. There has been a lot of discussion about Delhi’s pollution for some time now. Just a few days ago, a tweet by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor was in the headlines.

Along with pollution, the level of poisonous air in Delhi-NCR remained at its peak a few days ago. Meanwhile, a discussion had started on social media about shifting the capital from Delhi to some other state due to pollution. This discussion started after the tweet of Congress MP Shashi Tharoor. Shashi Tharoor had made reference to changing the capital by comparing the poisonous air of Delhi with the pollution of the world.
