But now Korean company Hyundai is going to introduce one such SUV in electric variant which is included in top selling cars in petrol and diesel variants. According to the information, Hyundai has planned to launch the electric variant of its top selling SUV Creta.

The company has also started testing the Creta Electric. It has also been spotted on Indian roads. Significantly, the company has already announced an investment of 4 thousand crores on BEV product portfolio and is also planning to launch 6 new electric cars soon.

At present, the company has not given any information regarding the specifications of Creta Electric. But according to experts, Hyundai can use 39.2 kWh battery pack in Creta just like its electric car Kona. It is 452 km in single charge. Will give a range of up to 100 kmph, which will be the highest in the mid-size SUV segment. At the same time, there is not much change in the design of the electric variant of a spotted Creta. Along with this, the next generation model of Creta is also going to be launched soon. The company has showcased it in the global market and now it will be launched in India.

It is being told that the test of Creta Electric is still in the initial phase. It is believed that the company can start its production by 2024 and it can also be showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo.

Will compete with Nexon
The E variant of Creta will give a tough competition to Tata’s best selling SUV and electric car Nexon. Hyundai can launch this car at the entry level, which will cost 15 to 18 lakh rupees. Due to which it will create a big problem for the Nexon.
