How to improve public transport in cities, a draft has come out, it can change the situation like this

New Delhi: How to make public transport easier in the country, how to get rid of traffic jams on the roads and how to ensure that this does not increase the increasing pollution further. These have become more prevalent in today’s times because roads are seen crawling in cities as well as in metropolitan cities and people are seen getting disturbed. Obviously now this is an issue which cannot be ignored.

Regarding all these issues, today many public forums and think tanks are thinking about what kind of solutions can emerge in this regard. In such a situation, Green Peace of India and Public Transport Forum have put forward a civic draft regarding transport before the people. he/she said that this policy has been brought forward after discussions with experts and citizens. Its objective is to improve urban mobility in India. This policy not only recognizes the importance of public transport but also emphasizes on improving the existing system, which is not working as it should due to lack of funds and preference to private vehicles. This should be done.

The policy also includes suggestions such as Climate Tickets, which also offer free or discounted public transportation options. Apart from this, this policy also mentions many other solutions in detail, including doubling the number of bus stands in cities, creating dedicated bus lanes and modernizing bus depots. Along with this, there is also a need to convert the bus stops into accessible facilities. According to the document, taxes on public transport should be abolished so that the cost of operation is reduced. Along with this, it also mentions that there is a need to break the stereotypes regarding free public transport for women. There is a need to work in this direction to ensure that people get the right to accessible, cheap and reliable transport through public awareness campaigns.
