How to get Indian student PR in Canada? If you take care of these 5 things, the work will become easy

How to get Canada PR: Canada has been popular among international students because it is easy to get a job and then Permanent Residency (PR) after studying there. This is the reason why not only India but students from all over the world choose Canada for studies. Lakhs of Indian students are studying in Canada. Foreign students who have studied at a ‘Designated Learning Institution’ (DLI) receive extra points in the Canada Express Entry system.
Express Entry is an online system that manages applications for skilled workers who want to immigrate to Canada permanently. Express Entry is the process used to obtain Permanent Residence (PR). Through this the path to Canadian citizenship also opens. In such a situation, let us know what things foreign students should keep in mind to easily get PR in Canada.

(1.) Keep an eye on the changing immigration policy

Immigration policy is constantly changing in Canada. The number of study permits given to foreign students has been reduced. It is very important to keep an eye on such things. For Indian students considering permanent residency in the future, it is important to know the eligibility criteria for different programs. They have to understand that by studying which course they will get a job opportunity and then the path to permanent residency will open.

(2.) Studying professions that are in demand.

Indian students coming to Canada should always keep in mind that they focus on those professions which are in highest demand in Canada. For example, professions related to fields like healthcare, science, technology, engineering, trade, transport are in highest demand. For this reason, to get a job in these fields, they should study courses related to them. During the Express Entry draw, the chances of people from these fields getting permanent residency increases.

(3.) Research about Provincial Nominee Program

Every province and territory in Canada except Quebec and Nunavut offers a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to attract skilled workers. If a student feels that their ‘Comprehensive Ranking System’ (CRS) score is not high enough. Or they feel that they will not be able to qualify for the category based draw, then in such a situation they should check whether they are qualifying under the Provincial Nominee Program or not.

There are two different pathways to immigrate to Canada under the PNP. The first of these is Express Entry, where each province gives 600 CRS points to eligible candidates. Because of this they get PR under Express Entry. The ranking of a candidate for PR is decided through CRS points during Express Entry. The second route is PNP stream, through which there is an option to immigrate directly.

(4.) To improve both the languages

Apart from English, French is also spoken in Canada. Because of this, if an Indian student is proficient in both the languages, his/her PR process will be faster. If Indian students want, they can score maximum marks in their first language i.e. English to increase the CRS score. But learning French will be a beneficial deal, because through it the CRS score increases even more and it becomes easier to get PR.

(5.) Take advantage of all degrees

While granting PR in Canada, the degrees obtained by the candidate are also considered. Points are also available for education in the Express Entry system. If a student has more than one degree, it is also considered. But this degree must be recognized by the Canadian government.
