In the first match, Indian girls defeated West Indies by nine wickets. On the basis of its lethal bowling, India had bowled out the West Indies Women Under-19 team for just 44 runs. Parunika Sisodia took three wickets for seven runs. While chasing the target, Gongadi Trisha was out in the very first over but what happened after that was amazing. India achieved the target of 44 runs in just 26 balls i.e. 4.2 overs. Whereas the host Malaysia Women Under-19 team lost to Sri Lanka Women Under-19 team by 139 runs in its first match.
