New Delhi: Indian Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi today discussed the latest situation in the North-Eastern states and especially Manipur. The Army Chief said that the situation in the North-East is gradually improving. Talking about Manipur, Upendra Dwivedi said that the situation there has come under control due to the efforts of the security forces. he/she said that although some incidents of violence are taking place from time to time, we are working to establish peace in the area.

How is the situation in Manipur, know from the Army Chief

Indian Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi, while talking to the media today, informed the people about the latest situation in Manipur. Upendra Dwivedi said that in Manipur, coordinated efforts of security forces and proactive initiatives of the government have brought the situation under control. However, cyclical incidents of violence continue. We are working to establish peace in the area. Various NGOs and our brave soldiers are reaching out to community leaders so that some kind of reconciliation can be achieved.
How much impact does Myanmar unrest have on India?
The Army Chief further said that surveillance and security on the India-Myanmar border has been further strengthened. This step is our effort to stop the spread of the unrest currently taking place in Myanmar. Based on the experience gained in 2024 as far as humanitarian assistance and disaster relief is concerned, we have earmarked Rs 17 crore specifically for upgrading our QRT and QR medical teams.
