US Work Visa for Indians: Every year lakhs of people from India go to work abroad. The number of Indians in America, Britain, Australia and Gulf countries is in lakhs. According to government figures, about three crore Indians are abroad. Most of the low skilled workers work in Gulf countries, while the high skilled workers go to developed countries like America, Britain, Australia. However, to work in any country, a work visa is required.
Work visa is issued by the government of a country. Through this, foreign workers are allowed to work and live in the country. Work visas also have a fixed duration. Indians also need a work visa when they go to work in America. No foreign citizen can work in America without a work visa. Work visas in America are divided into two categories, which include temporary (temporary) and permanent (permanent) visa status.

How many types of work visas are there in America?

H-1B Visa: This visa is given to people working in a special field in America. For this it is necessary to have a bachelor’s degree.
H-1B1 Visa: The H-1B1 visa is a part of the H-1B visa, which is available to people from Chile and Singapore to work in specialized fields.
H-2A Visa: Citizens of some countries are given this visa to do farming work in America.
H-2B View: America gives these visas to citizens of some countries to do non-agricultural work temporarily.
H-3 View: This visa is given to those people who teach mentally, physically or emotionally disturbed children.
L Visa: This visa category of America is available to those people who are managers or executives in an American company and now they have to work in America.
or visa: This visa of America is available to those people who have special qualifications in science, arts, athletics, entertainment, motion picture or business.
P-1 Visa: This visa is given to athletes or people from sports or entertainment groups.
P-2 Visa: These visas are granted to artists participating in reciprocal exchange programs between the United States and participating countries.
Q Visa: Candidates of certain cultural exchange programs get this visa.

The work visas described above are known as ‘Temporary (Nonimmigrant) Work Visas’. This visa is given for a few years. Its duration ranges between one to three years. However, there is another category of visa, which is called ‘Permanent (Immigrant) Work Visa’.

How many types of ‘Permanent (Immigrant) Work Visa’ are there?

Through the ‘Permanent (Immigrant) Work Visa’ given by the US government, people are given the opportunity to work and live in America permanently on the basis of skills, education and work experience.

EB-1 view: Under this category, visas are given to those people who have exceptional qualifications. Generally this visa is given to professors, researchers etc.
EB-2 view: Under this category of visa, visa is given to those who have advanced degrees and are exceptional people in the fields of arts, science and business.
EB-3 view: The US government gives this visa to those who are professional and skilled workers.
EB-4 View: These visas are available to ‘special immigrants’ who have been engaged in religious work, are employees of US Foreign Service Posts or are retired employees of international organizations.
EB-5 view: This American visa is given to the person who invests 1.8 million dollars in a company and provides jobs to 10 people.
