As per the decision of the Supreme Court of India on February 3, 2023, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) candidates who had received their OCI/PIO cards before March 4, 2021, will also be eligible for seat allotment in IITs. However, such candidates are not eligible for any reservation including GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC and ST category, except Open-PWD category.
