How is American society stuck in the personality cult moving towards Trumpism 2.0? Know how the voters were captured

New Delhi: The picture of Trump with blood flowing from his/her ear has signaled the arrival of Trumpism 2.0 in America. A picture that has changed American politics. The entire discourse regarding the presidential election has been centered around Trump. Those who know Trump understand that he/she knows very well how to bring populism into the mainstream of politics and push the real issues to the background. But this picture of the wounded Trump also encompasses the changes that have taken place in America in the last 40 years. Especially since the time of Ronald Reagan in the 1980s, the American public has changed a lot. The fine links of free economy and politics have become so intertwined that everything is left behind in the exaggeration of elections. During the 2016 elections, using personality cult politics, Trump made aggressive statements on everything from the wall to the riots on the Mexican border. The line of extreme nationalism that he/she had adopted at that time had taken an unknown name like him/her to the corridors of power in the White House. This time Trump is clearly ahead of Biden. Experts are repeatedly saying that he/she is leading Biden in the elections. This is also seen happening in the Republican Party’s national convention these days, the media spotlight is constantly on Trump. Media reports are saying that the leaders of the Democratic Party are also tacitly admitting that defeating Trump is becoming difficult day by day. According to reports, senior Democratic Party politician and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also said in a private conversation with Biden that he/she would not be able to defeat Donald Trump. The roots of political cult politics are deep in American society
In the 80s, Ronald Reagan was attacked in a similar way as was seen in Trump’s rally a few days ago. But since then, American voters and society have changed a lot. Experts believe that this election is also special in the sense that the personalities of the two people who have been put forward by the American public for the most powerful position in the country are not very promising. International affairs expert Qamar Agha says that both the candidates have neither any plan nor any personal charisma. At the same time, the trust of a large section of the society is also not with these two candidates. The post of President is very important for America, which allegedly takes upon itself the responsibilities of the whole world, and at present, a crisis of leadership is visible. In the race of two ineffective personalities, Trump is trying to prove himself twenty at every step. That too when the American people are in a situation of social despair. Senior American journalist Chris Hedges says, ‘Common Americans are feeling insecure from immigrants and surrounded by economic crises. In such a situation, they are drawn towards leaders with larger than life images. In the field of diplomacy, America is struggling to maintain its supremacy. The American people find themselves in the midst of instability due to the war in the Middle East and tough competition from China. In such situations, aggressive leaders with extreme decisions easily come into the spotlight. Very few people know that the ancestors of Trump, who has taken America to the heights of glory, were not of American origin. his/her grandfather Frederick and grandmother Elizabeth were born in Germany and settled in America. Not only this, Trump, an advocate of Pan Americanism, is also of Scottish origin. Trump, who mocks China in his/her speeches, wears shirts and ties made in China in real life.

Now even rivals are supporting
While Trump’s family and supporters are trying their best to get him/her nominated at the Republican Party convention going on in Milwaukee, now his/her rivals have also come out in his/her support. Trump’s daughter-in-law and Republican National Committee co-chair Lara Trump, while addressing the crowd emotionally, said that the Trump family has faced many death threats. Florida Senator Marco Rubio, who was in the race to become Trump’s running mate, was also seen speaking in support of Trump at the convention, he/she said that President Trump has not only reformed the party, but has also started a movement. However, the biggest moment of the Republican convention was Trump’s rival Nikki Haley standing in his/her support, along with this Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswami have also rallied in Trump’s favor. Remember that this is the same Nikki Haley who had declared Trump unfit for this post in the initial race for candidacy.

Earlier he/she had even called Trump toxic, but from the stage he/she appealed to Republican supporters to stand behind Trump. Vivek Ramaswami of Indian origin said many important things in support of Trump. he/she said that Trump will prove to be important in giving impetus to the economy. Obviously, after the assassination attempt, the US election which was already going in favor of Trump can be seen slowly becoming one-sided. The four-day national convention of the party will end on Thursday and it is believed that Trump will come out stronger than before.
