How does your house and courtyard look from space? Now you will get pictures taken from satellite

New Delhi: Do you want a satellite image of your backyard? This may soon be possible as Bengaluru-based space startup Pixxel plans to launch an online software that will let you view images of Earth taken by its satellites.Aurora Studio may start by the end of the year
Awais Ahmed, CEO and co-founder of Pixel Space, said that launching the Earth Observation Studio is part of the efforts to make space-based data available to the common man at a very low cost. Pixel’s Earth Observation Studio ‘Aurora’ can be launched by the end of this year, which will make satellite-based Earth images and data analysis accessible to everyone.

‘It will be easier to use the studio’
Ahmed said, ‘It will be as easy as using ‘Google Earth’ but the photos taken from the satellite will be more advanced.’ Ahmed is one of the few entrepreneurs who are doing remarkable work in the space sector. Users of ‘Aurora’ can see the photos taken from the satellites already available in the database or can assign the task of ‘taking a particular picture’ to Pixel satellites orbiting in the low orbit of the Earth.

‘You will receive the photo as soon as you make the payment’
“Suppose I want a picture of Chikkamagaluru in the next one or two weeks. This task will be assigned to our satellite and they will provide you the picture when you pay for it,” Ahmed said. Pixxel has launched two satellites – Shakuntala and Anand – to capture images of the Earth. It plans to launch six satellites by this year. The startup plans to launch 18 more satellites next year.
