Hooda and Shailja did not come or were not called, what happened in the Haryana meeting of Congress?

New Delhi: It has been 2 days since the results of Haryana came but even now Congress is not able to believe that it has lost. The party has suffered a major setback due to the results of Haryana. Brainstorming on the reasons for the defeat has also begun. Amidst all this, there is still a lot of discussion about those two names which were being discussed before and during the elections. Now something has happened that even after the elections, the names of Bhupendra Singh Hooda and Kumari Selja are being discussed. On Thursday, a review meeting was held at the residence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in which the reasons for Haryana’s defeat were explored. Both Bhupendra Singh Hooda and Kumari Selja were not present in this meeting.These faces were not seen in the meeting
Questions also started being raised in the political circles that the two leaders who were at the center of the entire election and whose names were discussed the most, were not seen in the meeting. Both Kumari Shailja and Bhupendra Singh Hooda were not in the meeting. When both the leaders did not attend the meeting, the question arose whether they were not called or whether these two leaders themselves stayed away from the meeting. Sources say that Rahul Gandhi is angry after the results and he/she says that the leaders put themselves above the interest of the party.

Those who were invited came
Congress leader Ajay Maken came to talk to the media after the Haryana election meeting. he/she expressed his/her views but the same question which was much discussed came before him/her. Questions were asked about former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda and Congress General Secretary Kumari Selja not attending the meeting. In response to this question, Ajay Maken said that all those who were called had come.

Is Rahul Gandhi angry?
Although there was discussion that Bhupendra Singh Hooda was called in this meeting, whereas the names of Kumari Shailaja and Randeep Surjewala were not in the list. Now in such a situation, it is not clear whether Hooda himself did not come or he/she got a signal not to come to the meeting. Sources say that even though Rahul Gandhi did not take the name of Hooda or Kumari Selja in the meeting, he/she is said to be angry. Sources also say that he/she said in the meeting that the personal interests of the leaders in Haryana remained uppermost.

Haryana results review
After the meeting, Ajay Maken told reporters that the election results of Haryana were reviewed in this meeting. You people (media) would also agree that the results were unexpected. There was a world of difference between the exit polls and the actual results. What could be different reasons were discussed. he/she said that information about further steps will be given later. Congress had on Wednesday informed the Election Commission about the complaints related to the results of Haryana Assembly elections and demanded an investigation. A delegation of senior leaders of the main opposition party had also requested the Commission to keep those Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in question sealed till the completion of the investigation.

Who attended the meeting
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Thursday reviewed with senior observers and in-charges the reasons for the party’s defeat in the Haryana Assembly elections. Congress’s Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Treasurer Ajay Maken and two other leaders of the committee were present in this review meeting held at 10 Rajaji Marg, Kharge’s residence. In-charge Deepak Babaria joined through video conferencing as he/she has been unwell for the last few weeks.
