“Honored,” says Chennai-born Sriram Krishnan, Trump’s choice for policy adviser on AI.


US President-elect Donald Trump has selected Sriram Krishnan as Senior Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.

Sharing a post on the Truth social platform, Trump wrote, “Sriram Krishnan will serve as Senior Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.”

“Working closely with David Sachs, Shriram will focus on ensuring continued U.S. leadership in AI, and help shape and coordinate AI policy across the government, including working with the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.” do. Sriram started his/her career at Microsoft as a founding member of Windows Azure,” he/she said.

Krishnan, 41, accepted the offer and expressed gratitude for the opportunity, saying, “I am honored to be able to serve my country and work closely with @DavidSacks to ensure continued American leadership in AI. Am. Thank you @realDonaldTrump for this opportunity.”

According to his/her website, Krishnan was until recently a general partner at Andreessen Horowitz and a private investor in more than two dozen companies, including SpaceX, Figma and Scale.AI. he/she has previously led organizations at Meta, Twitter/X, and Microsoft.

Krishnan and his/her wife Aarti Ramamurthy host the podcast “The Aarti and Sriram Show”.

On Sunday, Trump nominated Mark Burnett as the country’s special envoy to the United Kingdom.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said Burnett brings “a unique blend of diplomatic acumen and international recognition” to the important role.

he/she also said Burnett would work to enhance diplomatic relations between the US and Britain with a focus on areas of mutual interest such as trade, investment and cultural exchange.

Earlier, Trump had nominated Hershel Walker, a renowned American athlete and businessman, as the United States Ambassador to the Commonwealth of Bahamas.

Walker is a former Heisman Trophy winner, National Football League (NFL) great, as well as co-chair of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition.

In early December, Trump named former Georgia senator David Perdue as his/her choice for US ambassador to China, Al Jazeera reported.

“As a Fortune 500 CEO who had a 40-year international business career and served in the U.S. Senate, David brings valuable expertise to help build our relationship with China. “he/she has lived in Singapore and Hong Kong and has worked in Asia and China during his/her career,” Trump said in a post on his/her social media platform Truth Social.

“he/she will play an important role in implementing my strategy to maintain peace in the region and maintain a productive working relationship with China’s leaders,” Trump said, according to Al Jazeera.
