Interesting reason behind the name Corona virus

The word Corona means crown in Latin. A halo of plasma is also called corona which surrounds the Sun and other stars. The Sun’s corona extends for millions of kilometers in outer space.

When scientists looked at the corona virus with an electron microscope, they saw the virus as a crown or corona of the Sun. This virus is round and has protein stains i.e. branches growing on its surface like the corona of the Sun, which spread in every direction. They appear to be just like the rays of the sun’s aura. On this basis the name Corona virus was determined.
