Historic moment, when master-blaster scored a double century! Gwalior residents even today…

Gwalior. Roop Singh Stadium, Gwalior, here in 2010, Sachin Tendulkar scored a double century and led India to a spectacular victory against South Africa. In this double century, Sachin hit 25 fours and three sixes. Even today, the memories of Sachin’s victory are preserved in this stadium of Gwalior.

Made a world record by scoring a double century
When Sachin Tendulkar scored a double century with his/her brilliant batting at the Captain Roop Singh Stadium in Gwalior, Sachin became the first player in the world to score a double century in ODI. Sachin Tendulkar has been a great cricket player and his/her records have been very high in themselves. It is very difficult for any player to break his/her records. That day Sachin had scored 200 runs in 147 balls. he/she hit 25 fours and 3 sixes in this innings. Sachin was very successful in this innings. The important thing was that he/she became the first player in the world to score a double century in ODI. In this match with Sachin, Dinesh Karthik scored 79 runs and Mahendra Singh Dhoni scored 68 runs. In this match, Mahendra Singh Dhoni hit 7 fours and 4 sixes.

To commemorate the success of Sachin Tendulkar, old souvenirs of that time are still kept here in Captain Roop Singh Stadium. Among the old souvenirs, the trophy given to Sachin and the original photographs taken on that day are kept here.
