Hiccups return to the Hichka Award for insulting the honor for the agenda, now this recommendation of the Parliamentary Committee

New Delhi: A committee of Parliament is unhappy with the attitude of litterateurs. These litterateurs are returning their awards against ‘intolerance’, but are also associated with the academies who gave him/her this honor. That is why the committee has reiterated its point again. The committee wants the academies to take an affidavit from those who received the honor before giving the award. The promise given in this affidavit will be that they will not insult the award.

Parliamentary Committee expressed concern

Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture, headed by Sanjay Jha of JD (U), said that the government’s concern can be overcome. The government is concerned that taking a promise in advance will violate the privacy policy as the names of the award winners are kept secret till they become public. This problem can be resolved by signing a secrecy agreement.

Thoughts on taking promise from award winner

The Ministry of Culture had said that it can be difficult to legally apply promise. The committee also said, ‘The Ministry of Culture should also find other measures to avoid such problems in future. Also, a policy should be made to monitor the artists who have returned their awards, but are associated with the academy.

Recipients started doing politics on awards!

The report presented in the Lok Sabha on Monday mentioned the litterateurs who returned the awards from the academies to protest against some political issues. The committee said that these issues were ‘out of the scope of the autonomous functioning of the cultural field and the concerned academy. The committee said that returning the award reduces the enjoyment of the achievements of other award winners. Also, the prestige and honor of the awards also affect.

Such an insult to the highest honor of talent!

The committee said that the awards received from each academy are the highest honors for talent in the country. The committee emphasized that Sahitya Academy and other academies are non-political institutions. The committee said that there is no place for politics. Therefore, there should be a system where a promise is taken from the awarder. It has written to accept the award. Also, it should be written that the award winners can never insult the award in future.

Government wants to avoid disputes

On this recommendation last year, the ministry agreed with the views of the committee. The ministry had said that he/she wants to avoid controversies. The ministry had said, “Before the announcement of the award, taking written promise from the author will dissolve the privacy of the selection process.” The Ministry of Culture also said, “In addition, taking written promise from the recipient before the announcement of such awards can lead to the legally uncertain.”

Dangerous gallows of art and political thoughts

The committee wants art and politics to live separately. Artists are honored with their work, not for political views. Returning the award reduces the dignity of the award. And the rights of others are also killed. Academies also want to avoid disputes. However, privacy is also necessary. Will have to see what way out.
