Hello! There is a bomb in the flight… this year 500 planes received threats, 3.5 lakh passengers were troubled, loss worth crores

New Delhi: The process of receiving bomb threats against flights of various Indian airlines continues. This continued on Tuesday also. Due to this, an atmosphere of fear is now being created among the people. The situation is that so far this year more than 500 flights have been threatened due to this ‘threat game’. Which has affected approximately two thousand flights and 3.5 lakh passengers. Besides, the airlines had to suffer losses to the country’s economy in the form of losses of about Rs 15 billion.

What happens when a flight is threatened?

Airlines officials say that whenever a flight is threatened, people might think that there is only one flight, no problem. The rest is correct, but it is not so. A threat to any one flight causes a ‘chain reaction’ in that airline’s 24-hour air schedule system. Because, even if one aircraft is threatened, an aircraft makes at least four to six short distance flights in 24 hours. In such a situation, if one flight is threatened, then all the subsequent flights of that aircraft are affected in the form of delay, cancellation or re-scheduling.

This year 500 flights received threats

In this, domestic flights are most affected, whereas in international flights, even short distance flights take two to three flights. Airlines said that delay of one flight in this way means that it will definitely affect the next four to six flights. There are an average of 180 passengers on each flight. In such a situation, about 500 flights have been threatened so far this year, which means that at least two thousand flights and more than 3.5 lakh passengers flying on these flights were directly affected. Whereas considering the loss of Rs 3 crore per flight, considering the chain reaction, till now various airlines of the country have had to suffer a loss of about Rs 1500 crore i.e. Rs 15 billion.

Most threats received in June

Amidst the threats being received against flights, BCAS, NIA, Delhi Police and police of other states, IB and many other security agencies are involved in its investigation. On Monday, Union Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu had talked about amending the laws for this and also putting the accused in the no-fly list. Union Minister Naidu had said that the investigation is going on, but sources say that in the month of June also a large number of airlines had received similar threats and now this trend is continuing for the last several days.

The investigation is continuing, but people want to know what the result was. The way threats are being received continuously in response. From this the sources feel that the result of the investigation so far has been almost zero. Because, despite the continuous hard work of the agencies, the process of receiving threats is still not stopping.
