New Delhi: Baba Rampal… the name that took the lives of many innocent people while trying to control him/her. Baba was accused of murdering four women and a child. The court sentenced him/her to life imprisonment. Baba Rampal is serving his/her sentence in jail since 2014. Baba Rampal misled thousands of people by wearing the mask of a saint. Many people lost their lives in the bloody efforts to bring out the real face of Baba. Today we are telling you the story of how a boy who once worked as a junior engineer became one of the famous Babas and Gurus of the country.The journey from government job to becoming a Baba
Baba Rampal was born in Dhanana, a small village in Sonipat district of Haryana. After completing his/her studies, Baba Rampal got a job as a junior engineer in the irrigation department of the Haryana government. During his/her job as an engineer, Rampal met 107-year-old Kabirpanthi saint Swami Ramdevanand Maharaj. This is where Rampal’s journey to becoming a Baba began. Rampal Singh became Jagatguru Rampal and started living in the ashram. he/she left his/her job and started preaching to the people. Baba Rampal’s religious journey began in the 1980s. he/she took initiation from his/her guru Swami Ramdevanand ji. Rampal also started preaching the teachings of Kabirpanth like his/her guru. After some time, he/she established Satlok Ashram for his/her followers. his/her teachings attracted many people, and the number of his/her followers started increasing rapidly.

One statement and controversy started against Baba
Baba Rampal’s journey was not limited to preaching and followers, but many controversies also came in his/her life. Controversies in Baba Rampal’s life started in the year 2006, when he/she made a comment on a book written by Swami Dayanand. After this, Arya Samaj stood against Baba Rampal. There was a clash between Arya Samaj and Baba’s followers, in which one person died. After this incident, a murder case was registered against Rampal. The police took control of the ashram. Rampal and his/her 24 supporters were arrested. Baba came out of jail in 2008 and in 2009 Baba Rampal got the ashram back.

But after this, the upheavals in Baba’s life did not stop. The people of Arya Samaj filed a petition against Baba in the Supreme Court. The court rejected the petition. After this, on May 12, 2013, there was a clash once again between the angry Arya people and Rampal’s supporters. Three people died in this clash. About 100 people were injured. In 2014, an arrest order was issued against Rampal on charges of contempt for not appearing in court. The police raided the Satlok Ashram, where his/her followers resisted to prevent his/her arrest. Many people were injured in this siege and six people died in this siege that lasted for a week. After this, Rampal was arrested and taken to Chandigarh where his/her trial was held. Baba Rampal was charged with many charges, including murder, possession of illegal weapons, and rioting.

After Rampal’s arrest, he/she was produced in court and the legal battle continued for several years. In 2018, the Hisar court convicted him/her and sentenced him/her to life imprisonment. Currently, Baba Rampal is in jail but he/she still has a large number of followers who follow his/her teachings and believe him/her to be innocent. his/her journey from being a junior engineer to a controversial religious guru has been full of events. Despite being in jail, his/her followers still believe in his/her teachings and revere him/her.
