he/she is personally a very honest person… What did Sibal say when PM Modi went to CJI’s house

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi On Wednesday, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud reached his/her house in Delhi and participated in Ganesh Puja. Its video also surfaced, due to which political turmoil has intensified. Rajya Sabha MP and Supreme Court Bar Association President Kapil Sibal has expressed surprise at seeing the viral video on social media. Kapil Sibal said that I have been in the Supreme Court and this institution for more than 50 years. I respect the CJI a lot. he/she is personally a very honest person. But when I saw this video which was going viral, I was shocked.

Kapil Sibal raised questions

Kapil Sibal said that he/she has some problems in principle with this visit of Prime Minister Modi. No public official should publicize a private event. I am sure that the CJI may not know that it is being publicized. The Prime Minister should never have shown his/her interest in going to such a private event. If there is a conversation around it, then it is not good for the institution.

‘If there is talk about this then it is not good for the organization

Kapil Sibal clarified that he/she was speaking these things in his/her personal capacity and not as the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association. Sibal said that he/she is worried about unnecessary speculations about the institution due to this meeting. This issue is not about the person, the issue is what impact such clips have on people’s minds. If there is talk about this, then it is not fair to the institution.

PM Modi should not have gone to such a private event- Sibal

Kapil Sibal also said that you should not put yourself in such a situation where people start talking about the organization and start speculating. The Prime Minister of India should not have shown interest in attending such a private event. The Prime Minister, from whom he/she must have taken advice, should have told him/her that this could send the wrong message. Kapil Sibal said that I believe this should have been avoided. I only request that this should not be blown out of proportion.
