Pahlaj Nihalani On Govinda: Bollywood actor Govinda has been missing from the big screen for a long time. He was last seen in the film Partner released in 2007. After this he was not seen in any film. In such a situation, film maker Pahlaj Nihalani spoke openly about Govinda. He told how first Govinda’s relations with David Dhawan deteriorated and then there were differences with Pahlaj himself and they stopped working together.

In an interview with Bollywood Thikana, Pahlaj told that his relationship with Govinda deteriorated further when the actor started ‘whining’ about the Bollywood conspiracy against him. His film Rangeela Raja was about to be released but just before that, Govinda took the names of people like Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan and said that because of them he was sidelined in Bollywood.

‘Started crying and..’
Pahlaj tells that Rangeela Raja was a remake of Rajinikanth’s film and Govinda had done a brilliant job in it. He said- ‘In my opinion, he did a better job than Rajinikanth and I was sure that he would win some awards. But just before the release of the film, he went to the press and started whining about being sidelined in the industry and blamed Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan for this. My shows were canceled at the last minute and now he is sitting at home.

David Dhawan caused rift between Govinda and Pahlaj
Let us tell you that Pahlaj’s film Rangeela Raja was a flop and the film maker held Govinda responsible for this. On the question why Pahlaj did not work with Govinda for many years after the film ‘Aankhen’, Pahlaj replied, ‘David Dhawan created a misunderstanding. He felt that he alone was responsible for my hit films and when I started working with Anil Kapoor, he felt cheated. So, he started gossiping about me to Govinda. He spread hatred about me.
