Has taken the contract to loot the middle class… Kharge scolded Modi government on rising inflation.

New Delhi: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday targeted the Central Government over the prices of petroleum products. Kharge claimed that the government has taken the contract to loot the middle class. Congress President Kharge wrote from his/her X handle that by imposing excessive taxes, duties and VAT on petrol and diesel, the Modi government has looted lakhs of crores of rupees from the general public. According to a reply to a question asked in Parliament, the government has collected more than Rs 36 lakh crore from people’s pockets in the last five years.

Kharge further said that the Modi government will argue that this money is spent on welfare schemes and infrastructure. Kharge alleged that instead of continuously increasing the funds of welfare schemes, BJP has reduced it by fudging data and tampering with facts. Kharge further said that this government is expert in sometimes discontinuing old schemes, sometimes changing the names of Congress schemes and calling old schemes new and sometimes trying to earn applause by changing the names of its own schemes again and again.

Kharge wrote that we had already seen the condition of the infrastructure due to the collapse of bridges, collapse of airports, cracks on the highways and leaking of the roof of the new Parliament. he/she claimed that since May 2014, the prices of crude oil have fallen by 32 percent, but the Modi government’s loot on petrol and diesel continues. Kharge claimed that it seems that the Modi government has taken some contract to loot the middle class.
