Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Pankaj Aggarwal while talking to journalists on Tuesday said that as per the rules issued by the Election Commission, the vacant posts for which recruitment is already going on can be filled by HSSC and HPSC despite the election code of conduct. Advertisements for recruitment can also be issued. A complaint was received from the Congress in this regard, to which a reply has been sent.
The Chief Election Officer admitted that he/she has not received any information from the government about the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting held after the announcement of the assembly elections. The government has made these transfers of IAS and HCS officers only after the approval of the Election Commission. Apart from this, the transfer orders of IPS officers were issued even before the announcement of elections. Congress has also been informed about the reply received from the government.
