Special Correspondent, New Delhi: The Election Commission has declared the date of voting for Haryana Assembly on October 1. Will there be any change in it or not? The picture is expected to be clear by Tuesday i.e. August 27. An official of the Election Commission was spoken to in this matter. he/she said that the final decision will be taken by the commission. For this, we will have to wait till Tuesday. A meeting has been called on Tuesday in this matter. Only after this, it will be known whether there will be any change in the date of Haryana Assembly elections with 90 seats or not. Haryana CEO Pankaj Agarwal was also spoken to in this matter. he/she said that the final decision in this matter will be taken by the Election Commission.

The decision on voting date will be taken by Tuesday

CEO of Haryana Pankaj Agarwal said that all the requests made to him/her in this matter have been sent to the commission. Let us tell you that in this matter, Haryana BJP state president Mohan Lal Baroli has written a letter to the Election Commission on August 24. In this, he/she demanded to change the date of Haryana assembly elections to be held on October 1. The reason he/she gave for changing the date of voting is long holidays. Due to which the voting turnout may be low. It is written in the letter that 28 and 29 September are Saturday-Sunday. Voting is on October 1. Gandhi Jayanti is on October 2 and Agrasen Jayanti is on October 3. In such a situation, many people can go on holidays by taking a day off on Monday, September 30. Due to this, there is a possibility of less voting.

BJP is making excuses because holiday is fixed… Congress hits back on demand to change the date of Haryana elections

Haryana BJP has demanded date change

Then on October 2, Asoj fair will start in Mukam Dham in Rajasthan. This is a big religious event of Bishnoi community. Apart from Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi, a large number of people of Bishnoi community living in Haryana will go to Rajasthan for this fair. The officer said that apart from Haryana BJP, All India Bishnoi Mahasabha and ILD’s Principal General Secretary Abhay Singh Chautala have also written a letter demanding change in the date of election. By taking one day off on September 30, people will get six days off. In such a situation, many people, especially urban voters, can go out for a walk. Due to which there is a possibility of less voting. In view of this, the commission has started brainstorming on these demands.

Election Commission will take decision soon

The officer says that it is possible that a decision will be taken on this matter on Tuesday. Because, if there is any change in the date of elections in Haryana, then it will have to be declared soon. However, it is not clear from the commission yet that if the date of elections in Haryana is changed, then will the third phase of voting in Jammu and Kashmir also take place on October 1. In such a situation, will the date for the third phase in Jammu and Kashmir also be changed? Then if the Haryana elections are postponed, will it be possible to count the votes cast for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on October 4? Because the results here can affect the voting postponed in Haryana.
