Haryana CET Exam 2025: New rules of Haryana CET exam released, selection will be 10 times, see what has changed?

Haryana CET 2024-25 New Policy: Haryana Government has released the Common Eligibility Test (CET) Policy-2024 for direct recruitment on all Group-C and D posts. This examination will be conducted at the time fixed by the government. According to the notification issued by Haryana Chief Secretary Dr. Vivek Joshi on Wednesday, the CET marks obtained by the applicant will be valid for a period of three years from the date of declaration of the result. There will be no restriction on opportunities to appear in the written examination of CET. Along with this, till now 5 marks given on socio-economic basis will not be given. For fees also, charges have been fixed for different categories. The standard charge for fees has been kept at Rs 1000.

Recruitment through Haryana CET

According to the notification, this examination is conducted for direct recruitment to Group-C posts in the Departments of the State Government or any Board, Corporation, Statutory Body or any other agency owned and controlled by the State Government other than any University established by or under a State Act. Will be applicable for this, which will include posts of police service, jail and home guard etc.

Recruitment of Haryana Police, Jail Department and Home Guard will also be done under CET. Academic posts, Ex-Agniveer and all direct recruitment Group-D posts for which the minimum educational qualification is less than Matriculation for Haryana Group-D will be excluded from this.

Haryana CET Qualification

The minimum educational qualification for Group-C posts will be Class 10+2/equivalent or Matriculation with additional qualification. For Group-D posts, the minimum qualification will be Hindi or Sanskrit with Hindi as a subject in Matriculation or higher. The maximum number of candidates eligible to appear for the skill or written test will be 10 times the total number of posts advertised by the Commission. If an applicant has cleared CET for Group-D post then he/she/she can appear in the next CET exam again to improve his/her/her CET scores.

Special things related to CET

  • The syllabus for CET will be divided into two parts. In this, 75 percent preference will be given to General Awareness, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English, Hindi. Computer knowledge will be mandatory for Group-C posts.
  • There will be 25 percent preference for Haryana’s history, current affairs, literature, geography, environment, culture etc.
  • The question paper will be of the level of Senior Secondary Education (i.e. 10+2 level/equivalent) for Group-C posts and of Secondary Education (Matriculation level) in case of Group-D posts. However, Hindi and English will be of matriculation level.
  • The applicant will have to provide the family identification number or Aadhaar number.
  • General category applicants must score a minimum of 50 percent marks in CET to be eligible for the second stage skill or written test.
  • The minimum cutoff for the purpose of eligibility for CET for reserved category applicants (both horizontal and vertical) will be 40 percent.
  • Any category of applicant who scores less than the minimum marks will have to appear for the CET exam again.
  • This examination will be computer based online/offline/Optical Mark Reading (OMR) based.
  • This examination will be conducted in both Hindi and English languages.
  • Once registered the applicant will be able to appear for both Group C and D exams.
  • A fee of one thousand rupees has been kept for the examination.
  • Women, ex-servicemen, disabled, SC, BC will have to pay 25 percent fees.
  • The fee for those giving family identity card will be half.
  • Candidates will be called for written examination ten times instead of four.
