Harbhajan said- India should not go to Pakistan, remember what happened with Sri Lanka

New Delhi. There was a lot of uproar about the Indian cricket team not going to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy. Pakistan Cricket Board tried its best not to conduct the tournament in hybrid model but they had to bow down before BCCI. Veteran spinner Harbhajan, who was honored at News 18’s Amrit Ratna ceremony, clearly said that India should not go to Pakistan and play at all.

The controversy regarding the Champions Trophy to be played in Pakistan next year has stopped. BCCI had made it clear long ago that the Indian team will not go to Pakistan and play the tournament. Team India’s match should be held in some other country. ICC proposed to Pakistan Cricket Board to hold the tournament in hybrid model but it kept refusing it till the last moment. When it came to snatching away the hosting rights of the Champions Trophy, the PCB was forced to accept the condition.

Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh said on News 18 India that the Indian team should not play in Pakistan at all. There was a bomb blast in Multan just a few days ago. If such incidents keep happening then how are the team players safe there? You might remember that when the Sri Lankan team went there, their bus was attacked. A similar incident had happened with the New Zealand team also. Unless the conditions are good to play there, no team from any country should go and play.
