Hacking, Elon Musk’s tweet and now black box… Rahul again raised questions on EVM after elections


New Delhi: 11 days after the results of the Lok Sabha elections, questions have been raised once again on EVMs. The Congress MP has commented on EVMs for the first time after the 2024 results. Rahul called it a black box and said that in a country like India, no one is allowed to investigate it. Apart from this, Rahul has also shared a newspaper cutting in which it is written that a relative of Shiv Sena MP (Shinde faction) Ravindra Waikar, who won the Mumbai North West Lok Sabha seat, has a phone with which EVMs can be easily opened. Before Rahul, famous personality and Tesla owner Elon Musk has also reiterated the need to replace EVMs.After the Lok Sabha elections, questions again arise on EVMs
Rahul Gandhi wrote in the pretext of his/her latest X post that EVMs in India are a “black box” and no one is allowed to examine them. Serious concerns are being raised about the transparency of our electoral process. When institutions lack accountability, democracy becomes a sham and prone to fraud.

It is written in it that there is a trick to open EVM machine in the phone of a relative of Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) MP Ravindra Waikar, who won the Mumbai North West seat by just 48 votes in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. his/her relative Mangesh Pandilkar is accused of trying to unlock the EVM machine by generating OTP from his/her mobile phone. Vanrai police has also given him/her a notice under section 41A of CrPC.

The world’s richest industrialist and Tesla owner Elon Musk has also raised questions on electronic voting machines before. he/she posted on X and wrote that we should eliminate electronic voting machines. The risk of being hacked by humans or AI may seem small, but it is still very high.
