The Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) is run in LU New Campus. The Governing Board meeting of IMS was held on Friday. The Governing Board was chaired by VC Prof. Alok Kumar Rai. The VC said that the revised course of 2024-25 BBA UG was approved in the meeting.

The BBA course has been prepared as per AICTE and LU UG Ordinance of 2023. Apart from this, starting BBA and MBA courses online was discussed in the meeting. Permission has been given to start both the courses online in the meeting. IMS OSD Prof. Vinita Kachar said that in online MBA, specialization can be done in regular finance and control, human resources, marketing and international business.

There will be 60 seats in MBA Business Analytics

The Governing Board has given permission to start the MBA Business Analytics program. Now both these proposals will be placed before the Board of Studies and the Academic Council. The OSD says that the MBA Business Analytics course will start from the session 2024-25. There are 60 seats in it.

Apart from this, both the online courses will also be started from this session. Dr. Sandeep Goyal, Director, Rediffusion, Brand Solutions Private Limited and Vitika Joshi Deoras, Vice President, IHCL participated online. Apart from this, IMS Director Prof. PK Singh, Dean of Arts Faculty Tiruchirappalli, Registrar/Controller of Examinations Vidyanand Tripathi and many others participated in the meeting.
