Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal tweeted that Prime Minister Modi was warmly welcomed in Kazan by the head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov. Many gifts were also given to PM Modi at the airport. Among these, lye laddus were also prominently seen. However, it is prepared there in a special way, which is called Chak-Chak sweet.

PM Modi has reached Russia on 22-23 October at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Where the 16th BRICS summit is being organized under the chairmanship of host Russia.
