Usually Govardhan Puja is performed on the next day of Diwali. In many states of India, this puja is also known as Annakoot. This day has special significance in Hindu religion. According to tradition, on this day Govardhan Parvat is made outside the house with cow dung and it is worshiped by devotees.

How to reach Govardhan Mountain: Govardhan Mountain is also known as Giriraj, which is located at a distance of 22 kilometers from Vrindavan. You can take bus or taxi to reach here.

Thakur Shri Banke Bihari of Vrindavan is a famous temple of Lord Krishna. Where Govardhan Puja is organized on a large scale in a unique way. The temple is decorated with flowers and special aartis and bhajans are performed throughout the day. During Govardhan Puja, a grand Prasad of more than 100 vegetarian dishes is offered. Which is later distributed among the devotees. After the puja is over, devotees proceed to ‘Parikrama’ from Shri Banke Bihari towards Govardhan Parvat, which is 21 kilometers away from the temple.
How to reach Vrindavan: Vrindavan is well connected by road to all major cities of Uttar Pradesh. From Mathura, one can take a bus or hire a taxi to reach Vrindavan. Nearest is Mathura Railway Station and nearest is Agra Airport. When you reach Vrindavan, the distance from there to Banke Bihar Temple is not much.
