This batsman is Subramaniam Badrinath who performed brilliantly in the first T20 of his/her career but did not get a chance again.

Subramaniam Badrinath, born on 30 August 1980 in Chennai, got a chance to debut in T20 International cricket on 4 June 2011. The Indian team had gone on a tour of the West Indies after the World Cup at that time. A T20 match was played on that tour. Badrinath got a chance to debut in that match. In that match, stalwarts like Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma were playing but flopped. Badrinath played an innings of 43 runs in that match and took India’s score to 159 runs. India won this match by 16 runs. Badrinath was selected as the Player of the Match. But after this, Badrinath did not get a chance to play in T20 again. Raina was captaining in this match.

Subramaniam Badrinath also played an ODI match on this tour which was his/her last international match. Badrinath played for Chennai Super Kings in IPL for many years. he/she also performed brilliantly in some seasons. CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni gave Badrinath continuous opportunities in IPL. Badrinath played 2 Tests, 7 ODIs and one T20 International match for India. he/she scored 63 runs in Tests and 79 runs in ODIs, while he/she has 43 runs in T20.

Subramaniam Badrinath has scored 10245 runs in 145 first class matches which includes 32 centuries and 45 half-centuries. Badrinath’s best score in first class matches is 250 runs. After a long wait for a call from Team India again, Badrinath said goodbye to international cricket. Currently, he/she is seen doing cricket commentary.
