Google Photos launches new “Updates” page to track activity in shared albums

Google Photos is introducing a new feature that aims to enhance the way users track and engage with changes to their shared albums.

According to The Verge, the new ‘Updates’ section, which is currently being introduced on both Android and iOS, will allow users to easily stay on top of activity in shared albums and conversations, ensuring a more organized and seamless experience. Will do.

“We want to streamline how you see recent activity with an interface that makes albums, groups, and conversations more accessible,” the Google support post mentions.

This addition is designed to provide greater transparency and control, especially when dealing with multiple people collaborating on albums or group chats within Google Photos.

Apart from the ‘Updates’ section, users will now be able to access their shared albums directly from the newly launched ‘Collection’ section.

It provides a central place to manage all albums, both personal and shared, making it easy to navigate through photos and collaborate with friends, family or colleagues.

Although this feature is rolling out now, availability may vary by region and device.
