Good news for those preparing for NEET, 10 new ESIC medical colleges are opening in the country.

There is good news for those preparing for medical. New top class medical colleges are about to open for you. The Union Minister has given information about this. These will be ESIC medical colleges. India’s Labor and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has said that 10 new ESIC medical colleges will be opened in the country.

Mandaviya gave this information while talking about the plans of Modi government in the coming years. he/she told that these 10 different medical colleges will be established in 10 different cities of India. he/she also said that this will help in increasing 75 thousand new medical seats in India. Those 75000 medical seats which were announced by PM Modi during the Independence Day program of 2024.

What is ESIC Medical College?

The full form of ESIC is- Employee State Insurance Corporation. In Hindi it is called Employees State Insurance Corporation. ESIC is a central government insurance corporation that operates medical colleges in Bihar, Delhi, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal. Now the operation of 10 new medical colleges which will be built in different states will also be under ESIC.

ESIC unemployment allowance scheme date extended

Along with this, Mansukh Mandaviya also told that the Government of India is also extending the unemployment allowance scheme for ESIC members till June 2026. Atal Bimit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana has been extended for the next two years. This scheme will now run till 30 June 2026. These decisions have been taken to improve the infrastructure and medical facilities of ESIC.

Medical facility for ESIC insurance holders

One of the many major decisions regarding ESIC is to provide medical facilities to the beneficiaries of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation. For this, preparations are being made to run ESIC program along with Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PMJAY) in the entire country. It has been told that under this, there will be no limit on expenditure in PMJAY hospitals for ESIC insurance holders.
