Good news for Namo Bharat train passengers, know how much discount you can get on purchasing tickets from RRTS app.

New Delhi : Under the ‘Loyalty Points Program’ initiative launched by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), Namo Bharat train passengers will get 10 percent discount on purchasing tickets through ‘RRTS Connect’ app. NCRTC Managing Director Shalabh Goyal launched the initiative at Sahibabad Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) station on Saturday and also unveiled the first edition of the bi-monthly passenger news magazine ‘Namo Bharat Times’.

Loyalty points on train ticket expenses

Under the Loyalty Points initiative, passengers will get one point for every rupee spent on Namo Bharat train tickets. The value of each loyalty point will be Rs 0.10 (10 paise) and will be credited to the passenger’s account, the statement said. These can be used when purchasing tickets.

The statement said that this initiative will not only provide economic benefits to the passengers, but will also promote the use of digital QR tickets through the ‘RRTS Connect’ app, thereby simplifying travel through paperless ticketing.

50 rupees on downloading the app

It said, every new user will get Rs 50 on downloading the app, which is equivalent to 500 loyalty points. If they ask a new user to use the ‘RRTS Connect’ app, he/she can get an additional 500 loyalty points. The statement said that the loyalty points will be valid for one year from the date of receipt, which will encourage frequent travel and continuous use of the app.
