Gold smuggler Muniyad Ali Khan brought to India from UAE, Interpol had issued red notice 3 years ago

New Delhi: The CBI has succeeded in bringing back the accused of international gold smuggling and wanted by the NIA from the United Arab Emirates to India. A red corner notice was issued against the accused with the help of Interpol. After this, he/she was searched all over the world. he/she was hiding in the UAE. From there, the CBI was able to bring him/her to India with the help of Interpol.

Gold was smuggled from Saudi Arabia to India

The CBI said that the name of the accused is Muniyad Ali Khan. The NIA had registered a case against him/her on 22 September 2020. The allegation against him/her is that a large quantity of gold bars was recovered at Jaipur International Airport on 3 July 2020. he/she was found to be behind this smuggling of gold. During the investigation, it was found that Muniyad Ali Khan, along with co-accused, had smuggled this gold from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to India. he/she had allegedly hatched a conspiracy in this. he/she had sent this consignment of gold from Riyadh to Jaipur. The NIA had also filed a charge sheet against the wanted accused in the special court of Jaipur on 22 March 2021. In which there were other people besides this wanted accused.

Red notice was issued in the year 2021 itself

On the request of NIA, CBI had issued a red notice against this accused from Interpol through CBI on 13 September 2021. After this, the wanted person was searched all over the world. During the search, the accused was found to be present in UAE. Then he/she was brought to India on Tuesday itself. Here he/she was taken into custody by the NIA team from Jaipur Airport. CBI played an important role in bringing the accused from UAE to India.
