New Delhi. Today in the capital Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) participated in the inaugural program of the Global Millets Conference at Subramanian Hall. On the other hand, on this special occasion, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and his/her counterparts from six countries also participated. Addressing the program, PM Modi said that I am proud that India is leading the ‘International Millet Year’. Millets are a boon for the farmers today.

Along with this, in the inaugural program of the Global Millets (Shri Anna) Conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today, “Such events are not only necessary for Global Good but also a symbol of India’s increasing responsibility in Global Good. Shri Anna means felicitation of the tribal society of the country. Shri Anna means chemical free farming. We worked day and night to make Shree Anna a global movement. Millets are mainly cultivated here. Millets caffeine is visible everywhere. Most of the farmers who grow Shri Anna are small farmers.
PM Modi also said that, “Many countries are associated with the Millets Conference. Many startups have also started in the country regarding millets. It is cultivated prominently in many states. he/she said, “The United Nations has declared 2023 as the International Year of Millets only after India’s proposal and efforts. India is leading the campaign as the world celebrates the International Year of Millets. Global Millets Conference is an important step in this direction.
