Weight gain is a serious problem and there can be reasons for it. Simran Sehgal was also one of those women who faced problems due to weight. Due to night shifts, deteriorating lifestyle, lack of sleep and junk food eating habits, his/her weight started increasing.

Simran, who lives in New Delhi, had reached around 85 kg in weight in the last few years. Simran was fond of Punjabi food. Also, due to many health related problems, his/her fitness journey became very difficult.

It is said that hard work never goes in vain. Same thing happened with Simran. he/she joined the gym and surprised everyone by losing 30 kg in about two years. Let us understand how Simran lost weight and what lessons you should take from it.

During that time he/she continued to ignore his/her increasing weight. Her menstrual cycle stopped for six months and she started feeling tired all the time. She could hardly walk for a kilometer. The doctor advised him/her to lose weight.

  • Breakfast: Fresh fruit, yerba mate tea and boiled potatoes
  • Lunch: One vegetable, dal and roti
  • Evening snack: Tea without sugar and baked mathri.
  • Dinner: A light homemade soup, such as mixed veg, pumpkin, tomato and spinach soup, or a bowl of salad.
  • he/she managed his/her sweet cravings with Greek yogurt and dark chocolate, which helped a lot.

  • he/she was having trouble going to the gym because of his/her night shift. She used to do strength training 6 days a week
  • Daily 50 minutes blending and 20 minutes walk on treadmill.
  • Training for all muscle groups twice a week

There was no result for six months, he/she lost hardly a kilo. But she knew the mantra that success would come only by persevering. With a balanced diet and proper training, the weight also started reducing.

After losing the first 15 kg, body strength increased. his/her report came back normal. Her thyroid got cured, sugar became normal and she started menstruating on time.
