Scholz said India’s efforts to talk to all stakeholders in search of a peaceful solution are commendable. Scholz also called for a ceasefire in the Middle East. It is notable that the German Chancellor’s comments come days after Russian President Vladimir Putin and Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni appreciated Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s concerns regarding the situation in Ukraine.

Appreciation of relations with India

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Friday praised bilateral relations with India. he/she said that his/her government wants to continue this trend. Dear Narendra Modi ji, heartily thank you for the warm welcome in New Delhi! The two leaders inaugurated the 18th Asia Pacific Summit of German Business (APK 2024). Also addressed him/her. Both of them also participated in the 7th Inter-Governmental Consultations (IGC) under the motto of ‘Growing together through Innovation, Mobility and Sustainability’ at Hyderabad House.
