Gavaskar gets angry at RR batsman, what is the use of such talent if brain is not used?


New Delhi. Rajasthan Royals, who entered Eliminator 2 with the hope of reaching the finals of the Indian Premier League, were disappointed. The team, which started the tournament on a strong note, lost 4 out of the last 5 in the league stage. The team that defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in Eliminator 1 succumbed against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Eliminator 2. Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar looked very angry over Riyan Parag’s dismissal in this match.

Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad team scored 175 runs for 9 wickets thanks to Enrique Klaasen’s fifty and Rahul Tripathi’s 37-run innings. While chasing the target, Rajasthan’s batting faltered badly. Even before 100 runs, 6 wickets of the team had fallen and in the end the team could reach only 139 runs with the loss of 7 wickets. After the dismissal of captain Sanju Samson, the team had hopes from Riyan Parag but the way he/she lost the wicket proved to be the turning point.

When Rajasthan lost the wicket of captain Sanju Samson, the score was 67 runs for 3 wickets. The team was expecting a composed innings from Ryan Parag, who was in good form, but he/she lost his/her wicket while trying to hit a big shot. While trying to hit Shahbaz Ahmed’s ball, he/she gave his/her catch to Abhishek Sharma.

Gavaskar gave a sharp reaction on this during the commentary. he/she said- “Really… Ryan Parag was out like this. What is the use of your being so talented if you don’t use your brain?”
