New Delhi. Indian cricket team’s head coach Gautam Gambhir remains in the news continuously. he/she has been in the headlines ever since he/she took over as coach. Now another news is coming out regarding the coach of Team India. According to a report, there was an argument between Gautam Gambhir and bowling coach Morne Morkel during the Australia tour. he/she expressed displeasure over the delay of the bowling coach during the series. Gambhir talked about this to the former South African fast bowler on the field itself. Morne Morkel had arrived late for a training session due to some work, which Gambhir did not like at all.

According to the Times of India, Morkel remained “a bit reserved” during the rest of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which the Indian team lost 1-3. The BCCI has been informed about the incident and it is now up to Gambhir and Morne Morkel to resolve it in the interest of the team.

TOI quoted a source as saying, “Gambhir is very strict about discipline. he/she immediately reprimanded Morne Morkel on the field itself. The board has been told that Morne Morkel remained a bit isolated during the rest of the tour. Now it is up to both of them to solve it so that the team can work better.”

Members of the Indian coaching staff are also under investigation as the team failed to make it to the final of the ICC World Test Championship. Since Gambhir became the head coach, India has lost six of its last 10 Test matches. Questions are being raised on the role of batting coach Abhishek Nair and BCCI is taking inputs from the players.

The daily quoted a source as saying, “Batting coach Abhishek Nair is especially under investigation. Gambhir himself has been a successful batsman. The board has asked the players whether Nair is bringing anything new. Similarly, the role of assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate is also being discussed. “Questions have been raised about his/her lack of international experience and his/her ability to enhance the performance of an international cricketer.”
