Gautam Gambhir breaks silence on Team India’s dressing room controversy

Gautam Gambhir broke his/her silence: Gautam Gambhir has given a statement for the first time on the Team India dressing room controversy. Gambhir says that dressing room talk should be limited to this only. It should not go out. he/she even said that as long as there are honest people in the dressing room, Indian cricket will be in safe hands. Gambhir had to come to the press conference because a day earlier the news of factionalism in Team India had come from Australia. In which it was told that some players of the team did not want Jasprit Bumrah to captain the Indian team in the first Test match of the series against Australia. It was told that after losing the Melbourne Test, Team India’s head coach Gambhir was furious at his/her players. Some senior players were also on Gambhir’s target. It was claimed in the report that Gambhir had said in the dressing room that enough is enough.

The fifth and last Test match of the series between India and Australia will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground from Friday (January 3). Before this test match, Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir came to the press conference organized by India. Gambhir boldly answered the questions about factionalism in the Indian team. Gambhir said, ‘Whatever happens between the coach and the players should remain in the dressing room only. As long as there are honest people present in the dressing room, Indian cricket will remain in safe hands. Only one thing can keep you in the team, and that is your performance. If there is a personal conversation with a player, it should be between the two of them.’ Amid reports of tension in the dressing room, Gambhir said that they are just reports, not the truth.

Century on 44 balls… This batsman scored the first international century of the year 2025, swung the bat like a hammer.

73 runs in 7 innings… Dropped from the team due to poor performance, Australia made a big change in the playing XI for the Sydney Test.

‘Now it is too much ‘
According to the report, it was said that Gambhir told the players in the Indian dressing room that enough is enough. Gambhir was angry over the plan made by Team India not being implemented properly on the field. India had to face defeat by 184 runs in Melbourne. India lost the wickets of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli early in the first session. Virat Kohli was out on the fifth day in Melbourne while trying to hit a shot on the outgoing ball. Rishabh Pant also did not understand the value of his/her wicket and was caught out on the boundary off the ball of part-time bowler Travis Head. It was said that Gambhir told the players that he/she had allowed them to play as per their wish but now he/she himself will decide the way the team plays. he/she said that players who do not implement the plan made before the match will be shown the way out of the team.

‘After seeing the pitch, we will decide on the playing eleven on the match day’
Gautam Gambhir has now reacted on all these things. he/she said before the fifth Test, ‘Here the spirit of team first matters most. Players can play their traditional game, but in team sports, individual players only contribute. Gambhir did not give any clarity regarding his/her playing eleven in the Sydney Test. he/she said that after seeing the pitch tomorrow we will decide our playing eleven.

‘Every player knows where to improve’
Gambhir also said that he/she did not talk to senior batsman Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma about anything except the strategy to win the Test match. he/she said, ‘Every player knows where he/she needs to improve. We have only talked to him/her about how to win test matches.
