Triveni is the confluence of three rivers

Triveni means the place where three rivers meet. Where three rivers confluence. There is a place in the Ganga of Prayag, where three rivers meet. Sangam and Triveni are the same places, where Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati meet. This rare confluence is famous all over the world. Let us tell you, most of the pilgrimage sites of Hindu religion are situated on the banks of rivers, the place where three rivers confluence is taking place has been very important. Ganga and Yamuna rivers appear different at Prayag Sangam.

One who bathes in Triveni Sangam attains salvation

Due to the presence of Triveni Sangam, it is also called Yagya Vedi. It is believed in Padma Purana that one who takes bath at Triveni Sangam also attains salvation.

Varanasi Airport (Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport) – approx 120 km.
Lucknow Airport – approx 200 km.
Taxi or bus service is available from the airport to Mahakumbh.
