Garlic was once ₹ 40, today ₹ 400… Rahul cornered Modi government on the rate of vegetables, watch video

New Delhi: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi had reached Delhi’s Giri Nagar vegetable market today. Amidst the security arrangements, he/she asked the prices of vegetables from the common people and the vegetable vendor himself. Rahul has also posted a video of about 6 minutes on his/her X handle. By sharing the video, Rahul targeted the Modi government and said that garlic was once ₹ 40, today it is ₹ 400. After visiting the vegetable market, Rahul also visited the women’s homes. During this, he/she also sought the opinion of the women on the deteriorating kitchen budget due to inflation.Rahul reached the vegetable market of Giri Nagar.
Today, after reaching the vegetable market near Hanuman Temple in Giri Nagar, Delhi, Rahul himself asked the vegetable vendors about the prices of vegetables. Many women and men were also taking vegetables with them. Rahul asked a vegetable seller how the garlic was doing? On this the vegetable seller told that it is Rs 400 per kg. On this a woman standing there said that gold became cheaper but garlic did not. The women standing there, while buying vegetables in front of Rahul, also asked the prices of peas and turnips and said that this time the vegetables have become more expensive. Hilaon further said that no one’s salary has increased but the rates have increased. The rate which has increased is showing no signs of decreasing.

Rahul invited for tea at home
While posting a video of about 6 minutes, Rahul Gandhi wrote that garlic was once ₹ 40, today ₹ 400! Rising inflation has spoiled the common man’s kitchen budget, the government is sleeping like Kumbhkaran. Rahul also invited the women of Giri Nagar to their house for tea. After reaching home, Rahul asked the women present there that inflation is increasing, so would you be feeling pressure due to it? On this the women said that yes, there is a lot of pressure, they have to cut down on many things.

Tomato rate is best…
The women told Rahul that the increment they used to get was not happening. The salary which was there for 2-3 years is the same. Rahul then asked what do you people think about inflation? Responding to this, the women said that if someone gets Rs 20 thousand, then after that we have nothing left after house rent, car and education expenses.

On the question related to GST, Rahul asked whether inflation has increased due to GST? The women replied that yes it has increased, it has increased a lot sir, don’t ask. After this the women told that the shopkeeper in the wholesale market does not take it online because he/she has to pay GST. Because of this we do not even get the goods. Our budget may deteriorate. During this, there were moments of light laughter also. The women told Rahul that the rate of tomatoes was the best. Rahul asked why because it is available within 100 rupees? Everyone present there laughed at this. The women told that currently we are getting tomatoes at Rs 60 per kg.
