New Delhi. Indian cricket team will play 5-match Border Gavaskar Trophy on Australia tour. The first match is going to start from 22nd November in Perth. There seems to be little hope of captain Rohit Sharma playing in this match. he/she has become the father of a second child and due to this he/she may stay out of the Perth Test match. Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has expressed his/her views regarding this.

Rohit Sharma became the father of a second child on 15 November. his/her wife Ritika Sajdeh has given birth to a son. The Indian captain also shared this good news with his/her fans. After the birth of the son, news is coming out that Rohit Sharma will not be able to play in the Perth Test. he/she wants to spend time with his/her family and the newborn. According to TOI, he/she has also informed BCCI about this.

Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, while talking to RevSportz, said, “I hope that Rohit Sharma will join the team soon, because the team needs a captain. his/her wife gave birth to a son last night (Friday), so I’m sure he/she can go. he/she can leave as soon as possible and if I were in his/her place, I would have played the Perth Test.”

Ganguly further said, “The first Test match to be played with Australia is a week away. Because this is a big series and perhaps he/she will not go to Australia after this. he/she is a brilliant captain. India needs its captain in the beginning.”
