‘Gadar 2’ is releasing again, but this time Sunny Deol’s film will be in sign language for the deaf

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer ‘Gadar 2’ was one of the most famous films of the year 2023. The film created history at the box office. Well, now the latest update is that the makers of ‘Gadar 2’ are re-releasing the film in theaters on its first anniversary. The film is re-releasing on August 4. The superhit sequel captured the hearts of millions across the country last year and became one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of all time. Now it will be released with Indian Sign Language (ISL) for deaf audiences. Zee Studios is happy to screen the film in select PVR cinemas across the country, which will bring a tremendous cinematic experience to the differently-abled audience. When Zee Studios approached ‘India Signing Hands’ (ISH News), a Mumbai-based organization founded by Alok Kejriwal (deaf), which does service work for the deaf, they were very excited to participate.

Sunny Deol is already excited about this

Sunny Deol, who returns to play the famous character Tara Singh, said, ‘Gadar 2 is a film that has a special place in my heart and will always have it. Therefore, it is overwhelming to see the continued love and support of the audience even after a year of its release. This re-release with Indian sign language interpretation will allow the film to touch the hearts of even more audiences this time.’

Amisha Patel is feeling happy

Ameesha Patel, who plays Sakina, said, ‘Being a part of Gadar films has been a tremendous journey for me. It feels great to be able to bring Sakina’s story back to the big screen for a niche audience who do not get the opportunity to fully enjoy cinema like the rest of us and I hope this initiative inspires other filmmakers to make such films.’

Story of ‘Gadar 2’

Based on the Third Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, the film traces the heroic journey of Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) as he/she braves all odds to cross the border to rescue his/her son Charanjeet (Utkarsh Sharma).
