Further tightening of Chinese social media users, action will now be taken for posting videos with fingers in their nose

China’s largest social media platform WeChat has released a new list of general rules. It has been told that if a user shared a video of putting finger in the nose, then it will be removed immediately considering it a violation of the rule. Not only this, videos and photos of small children slapping on the back have also been banned.

under pressure from the government wechat imposed new restrictions
There are more than 1 billion people using WeChat in the world. It is also considered to be the most popular social messaging app in China. In recent times, there have been many allegations of this app promoting obscenity and violence in China. The Communist Government of China has made a big investment in Tencent Holding Limited, the company that made this app. Hence, this platform has published a list of restrictions to improve its image.

Communist Party is not happy with WeChat’s channel tool
WeChat launched the channel tool last year. Through this, users stream live and other users also watch them. Chinese government officials consider this tool a means of promoting political activities in the country and spreading obscenity. In such a situation, Tencent had no other option but to increase the surveillance of its social media platform.

List of more than 70 sanctions released
In the list of sanctions published by this Chinese social media platform, more than 70 common violations have been mentioned. For example, slapping children on the back and putting fingers in the nose will now be banned. WeChat is a major means of communication for millions of Chinese people living abroad. They keep in touch with their families in China through this app, because other platforms like Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Twitter and Google are banned there.

WeChat was banned by India and the US last year
Last year, India banned many Chinese social media platforms after the violent clash with China in Ladakh. WeChat was also named in this ban list. Immediately after this, the then US President Donald Trump also banned WeChat in his country. He alleged that China was spying on the American people through its app.
